Hi, thanks for stopping by!

My name is Wendy, a 40 something Nashville photographer for over 12 years. I am a former kindergarten teacher who turned her love for working with children into a passion for photography, one Youtube video at a time. I specialize in newborn photography as well as first year milestones, children, families, with the occasional senior in high school (not senior citizens- though I am open to that as well). You’d be surprised how often I get asked this when I say I am shooting a senior. It makes me laugh every time to see people roll this around in their minds. I don’t shoot weddings but I can refer you.

My silly personality and connection with children make my sessions fun and laid back. Don’t be surprised if I break out into song, teach your kids some rhymes, or even shake my booty for a real belly laugh. I know the cues of children and I find that makes me a successful child/family photographer.

When I am not shooting I enjoy working out, I love live music, and spend a ridiculous amount of time driving my boys to swim and basketball. I’d love it if you would look around my site and see the beautiful families I photograph. You can always reach out to me in my “contact me” section or email me at wendyhardinphotography@gmail.com

5 Things about Me:

  1. I ran a marathon right before turning 30—-never again, one and done. I will stick to short distances thank you very much.

  2. I am Royal Family obsessed. I love all the Pomp and Circumstance.

  3. If I could have dinner with one person dead or alive, it would be Dolly Parton. When I talk about her or hear a song she sings I will likely break into tears. She’s the Patron Saint of the Smoky Mountains/Tennessee and I will fight you if you disagree. I also really love Prince. His music makes me really happy.

  4. I love Golden Retrievers and when I am feeling bummed I head to instagram to watch Golden Retriever videos. I have my own Goldie girl, Clementine. She’s an avid TV watcher.

  5. I have never lived more than an hour away from where I grew up. I am a true Tennessee girl. My parents say I always loved the Nashville skyline as a small child so to live so close to downtown brings me full circle. The skyline looks very different than when I was a child though-wow! Fun fact: I grew up in between two hills in a place called Difficult. It is located beside a place called Defeated. Look if up.
