Its my favorite day!  I have my coffee, computer, Good Morning America, and I am LOVING IT!!  I will be answering emails today.  I know several are waiting,  I am sorry.  I am trying to put my family first and foremost all the time and that might mean emails aren’t answered immediately.  I rely heavily on my iphone and I am trying hard not to have it constantly in my hand. Thanks for understanding!

Now I want you to meet little Emma.  Her mommy saw my work hanging in her OBs office (YAY) and I will be photographing her first year.  I am so excited about it!!  If you have followed my blog at all, you know that girl newborns usually give me a run for my money for their session….well, Emma stayed true to that lol!  I can honestly say she didn’t fully go to sleep for 3 hours (not even when mommy was holding her).  She was a spirited little thing to say the least.  I love the spunk these girls have and I can’t help but believe these girls will be strong and independent in their older age!  Its amazing how such a new little thing could have such strong opinions, its amazing!  Even though she didn’t sleep, we got some really sweet pictures and I just love them.  Here are a few of my favorites! Thanks so much Amy, I  love working with you all and can’t wait to watch Emma grow and change!

On a side note, baby Harrison will make his debut today and I can’t tell you how excited I am to meet him!  Good luck Chalos family!!!!!! We will see you soon!!

Good Morning Ya’ll,

I can’t BELIEVE I have a session today and its going to be around 70 degrees.  It makes me long for spring even more than I already do.  Our buttercups (I am pretty sure most people call them daffodils) are going to bloom soon! I know it’s coming and I can’t WAIT!

This session is my sweet friend Robin. I know Robin from my Mt. Juliet Elementary days when her daughter Savannah went there.  I remember little Savannah with her big bows and bright smile.  I also remember when Savannah was diagnosed with rhabdomyosarcoma,  a fast-growing and rare form cancer.  Never did I see Savannah that she didn’t have a great big smile on her face.  She and I both love Target so it never failed I would run into Robin and Savannah in Target and you could see that  great big smile a mile away.  Savannah lost her hard fought battle to cancer in 2011.  I still remember her bright smile and I know so many feel the same way.

Robin is expecting a baby girl in a few weeks (she announced the gender last night on facebook so I am not telling on her).  We recently met one morning to capture this special time for their family!  Luke will be a great big brother and I am sure Savannah’s life will continue to be a strong influence in all they do.

Thanks Robin for choosing me to capture this time for you.  I am excited for you you and your family!

Love, Wendy

Hi Ya’ll!

Tuesday’s when I don’t have a session are my favorite!  I get laundry done, dinner in the crock pot, I watch soap operas alllll day, drink diet coke, and edit/blog/answer emails all day! It helps me feel refreshed and renewed. I am so thankful for these days.

In my last blog post I told you about the restart series we are doing at church.  Last week was the last part of the series and it focused on being thankful.  I loved this sermon.  It’s so important to be thankful in all circumstances.  I am trying to make a conscious effort to look at my life in a thankful manner and when I do, man the peace it brings me!

So today I  thought I would just write down some things that I am thankful for; a clean house, friends that encourage and share (Sara ~ thank you), for my babies, for a husband that told me he was thankful for me yesterday, for clients that believe in my work, for my offer group and getting to see them tomorrow night, for not being poor and being able to pay my bills in January , for good books that seem to help my gloomy mood in winter, that our new puppy finally seems to be getting the hang of potty training, that the post office wasn’t busy, and finally for TUESDAY’S like today-woohoo!

“Be joyful always, pray continually, and give thanks in all circumstances”.

I can’t leave without pictures, so here is sweet Annsley session from last week.  She is such a cutie pie and I have too many of her not to share.

Happy New Year,

I started 2012 with a personal post so I thought I would do the same this year.  2012 was a great year for me and my business.  It was a year of taking chances, making mistakes, learning hard yet important lessons, growing as a person, developing thick skin, making new friends, and keeping busy capturing some really wonderful families, children, seniors, and newborns!  As I think about 2013 I want to accomplish so many things both personally and professionally.  More family time is needed, growing my friendships is something I crave, taking care of me and my relationship with God, and growing strong client relationship while doing my best to capture their sweet memories.

My church is doing a re-charge study right now and our Pastor focused on one of my favorite bible verses last Sunday;

“Be joyful always, pray continually, and give thanks in all circumstances”.

His message spoke to me in a personal way.  I really feel like this is where I am in my life.  Trying my best to be full of joy regardless of the circumstance, giving thanks for the good (and bad) things in my life, and always praying for guidance (personal and professional).

My hope is I can be the best me in 2013.  I am excited for all the possibilities this year holds.

Love, Wendy

*Here are my boys–the weather was so perfect today we went out to play for a while  down from our house and I just “happened” to have a camera around.
