I can’t BELIEVE its almost December! As my busy season winds down its time to start thinking about 2013! I am ready to book for 2013–
did I really just say that lol.
I have lots of names already listed on my iphone calendar (all the way up to June) but I need to start setting specific dates. If you would like to get on my calendar for 2013, email me and lets set it up.
My pricing/session structure is going to change in 2013. One big change is mini sessions (30 minute sessions) will be available year round. A normal session is one hour and up to 3 change of clothes so offering half the time with one outfit seems practical to me and some of my clients. Email me for more changes/options.
I am also going to stop booking 2 Sundays each month. I WORK HARD—ask anyone that knows me. Photography isn’t just slinging a camera around (ask any photographer you know); there is editing, emailing, ordering, scheduling, driving, consultations and the list goes on and on and on. I feel like I need to spend more time with my family and this is going to be my number one goal for 2013. This means session dates will be limited. I will be booking Tuesdays/Thursdays /Saturdays and 2 Sundays a month. I hope my clients will support me on this ;0)
So here is my sweet deal–*** If you book a regular session (mini sessions excluded) by December 31st 2012, you will get the 2012 pricing (session fee is due to reserve a date and is nonrefundable if cancelled). ***
So get on it—you can email me at email@example.com to book your date!
I can’t leave without a picture so here are my HANDSOME boys and my GORGEOUS niece from a recent trip to the Christmas Tree farm.

Good Morning and Happy Thanksgiving!!
I can’t help but think about all the things I am so thankful for today so I thought I would share some of them along with some images too (it wouldn’t be a photography blog without them, right)?
I am so thankful I took a chance at doing this full time. BELIEVE ME—it was a scary decision and I still sometimes wonder if it was the right decision. I do believe though that sometimes you have to take chances in life and this is one chance that has blessed me beyond measure!
I am thankful for my clients. For the families that trust me time and again with their precious memories. My clients encourage me to keep trucking, lift me up with their wonderful notes, ask about my business, send me pictures of their images hanging in their house, and tell me how happy they are with their images. You will never know how much I appreciate these words and how I take them with me when the going gets tough.
I am thankful for the friendships I have made. For seeing your kiddos milestones, talking about your joys and sorrows, and being able to watch families grow and change.
I am thankful for my own family. For loving me for me, the good and the bad.
I am thankful for heartbreak, things that are difficult to accept, and the mistakes I have made. Hopefully I can take all these things and learn from them.
I am thankful for laughter, silliness, kids being kids, and the love a family shares. The fact that I get to capture them with a camera that I love so much is just icing on the cake!
I am thankful for my faith and knowledge that God never gives you too much to handle.
I am thankful for the ability to take my own images of my family and the chance to hang and enjoy them in my home. They bring me so much joy!
I am thankful for a job that gives me the opportunity to see my friends more often with the little ones that they love so much!
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving with the ones you love the most! I am thankful you stopped by!

My body is still adjusting to the time change. I am exhausted by 8:00 and wide awake by 5:30. I have been taking advantage of that lately by running and getting some work done. This morning I thought I would blog and drink my coffee.
This session has probably been my most talked/asked about session of the year. People have texted me, emailed me, stopped me in public, and just about every family I have photographed after this one has mentioned it during their session. It always starts like this “That Chalos family you photographed is ADORABLE”. Kristle even texted me the other day saying she was officially “famous” because someone had stopped them in public because they saw them on my facebook page. People love a good story!
I have known Kristle and Chad for about 7 years now. I taught with Kristle at MJE and at EPE. We have always been friends because we both like to shop and have a love for Ray Lamontagne (and maybe a love for teaching thrown in there too). I have shared in Kristle and Chad’s sorrows as they tried for many years to have a baby. There is not much you can say to your friends that are experiencing such heartbreak so I just prayed for them over and over. After much prayer, Kristle and Chad decided to adopt. Their story has had its ups and downs. I won’t go into huge details-I will just link you to their blog. I recently did a session of a family and the mom told me she got sucked into their blog and read it for hours. It really is a miracle of a story that you should check out.
Jumping to last June. Some of the teachers from EPE went to celebrate the end of the year at Chuy’s and Kristle pulled me in the bathroom and said in not so many words “Guess what………I’M PREGNANT”. WHAAAAAAATTTT!! You’re going to have 3 babies? WHAAAAAATTTTTTTTTTTT! Can you guess how excited I was?!! God was preparing them for not only 2 but 3 kids. What a miracale!
So now they have 2 adorable babies and are expecting their 3rd in Feb. Their blessings are overflowing!
Kristle and Chad, I have enjoyed following your story. I love you both and can’t wait to see all God has in store for your family.
Here are some of my faves-this session couldn’t have been easier! They kids were happy (as long as cherrios were involved), the outfits were amazing (as usual), and the NATURAL love was evident. It was one of the easiest sessions I have ever done.
