Oh sweet Greyson….. He was so good for me today! Like most newborn boys I photograph, he was laid back, relaxed, and very easy going. His mom and dad brought several of their own hats and we got to use every one of them.
I enjoyed cuddling with him today and hope his family loves the results.
Greyson~7 days new.

I can’t tell Ava’s story. I have typed, deleted, typed, deleted ,and deleted more. Words aren’t my thing. Her mommy tells it with such love and passion that I just wouldn’t do it justice but for those that follow my blog and don’t know Ava’s story I will tell you a little.
2 years ago this month I was scheduled to take some pictures of Ava and her mommy Krista who was 7 1/2 months pregnant with her 2nd baby girl Aynslee. Little did we know sweet Ava would go to heaven suddenly the week before the pictures were to be done. Everyone that knew Ava, loved her. She was ADORABLE, extremely smart, chatty, full of life, a just a JOY to be around and I can speak for so many when I say we love her, miss her, and think of her every day.
When Krista approached me thinking about doing a maternity session with Aynslee and the third little baby girl Havan, my heart of course sank. Every decision that Krista makes has to be gut wrenching. I know this session wasn’t easy for her, but her grace and willingness to put her children first is always amazing. Krista has told me countless times how important pictures are. She took pictures of Ava almost daily and she has told me how much she treasures these pictures and she will do the same for Aynslee and Havan too.
Krista is one of my mommy heroes. She is funny, gracious, loving, true, and I love her.
If you would like to read about Ava you can go to the link below. Ava’s family and friends are raising money to put in a splash pad in Mt Juliet in her honor. The 5k is coming up in April. If you can register, sponsor, or donate it would be greatly appreciated.
Here are some pictures from our sunset session. Meet Ava’s little sister Aynslee.
